This scholarship is provided by EPIC Assist Charity Scotland and has been named in honour of Alastair Keatinge. Alastair was a highly respected founder and trustee of EPIC Assist Charity, a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2013 to provide support and development opportunities to individuals from marginalised, underrepresented, and low-income groups.
Eligibility
Reflecting on Alastair’s journey to his legal career, this scholarship is available to a student from the Highland or Central belt or from a marginalised, underrepresented, or low-income background. The applicant must be studying law or humanities and is required to submit the designated application to be considered for eligibility.
On-going eligibility
To be considered to retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester and present a 500-word overview of their academic year to the EPIC Assist Charity Board by June of the following year.
Scholarship details
- Amount: £2,000 per annum in line with the academic year and dispersed in £500 instalments every three months
- Duration: one year
- Closing date: 31 July 2023
