In May, EPIC Assist Scotland was delighted to be part of transnational case management training course for youth workers led by EPIC Assist Australia alongside Nezisková Organizácia EPIC Slovakia, in the beautiful spa town of Rajecke Teplice in northern Slovakia.
The week-long knowledge exchange programme was the first component of a project between EPIC Assist Australia and N.O EPIC Slovakia and participating youth workers from both Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The aim of the project is to develop and exchange robust examples of best practice in the area of client case management. Czech and Slovakia participants will visit Australia later in the year to engage in two weeks of job shadowing with EPIC staff.
With workshops on a wide variety of topics including case management, communication and marketing and effective social media use, the EPIC Australia staff that had travelled to Slovakia, had the opportunity to share their experience and expertise. A dynamic platform of transcultural knowledge exchange was built during the week with fascinating insights into many the different areas of practice of youth support in both Europe and Australia.
EPIC Scotland would like to take the opportunity to wish the project every success and looks forward to learning from the ideas that will be generated over its course.
